Device Sharing is a fantastic way to easily share a tablet with other stylists to create sessions without the team having access to owner or manager permissions, such as viewing your colour lines and their costs. It has a simple and clean appearance.

To start using Device Sharing, the owner or manager profile must be logged into the SalonScale app. Device sharing is enabled by default for Team Salon using an iPad but can be turned off if desired. To locate this setting, tap on Account and then General Settings. Ensure Device Sharing is turned on.

Having Stylist Select enabled does not impact Device Share mode since Device Share will override this option.

When you return to your SalonScale home page after enabling Device Share Mode, the option at the top right of your screen will appear. Tap on it to enter Device Share Mode.

 You are now in Device Share Mode, a beautiful and straightforward interface that allows you and your team to quickly select your profile from the screen.

Please note that this page now acts as your home page, preventing access to other owner or manager permissions, such as viewing or editing your colour line costs.

When a stylist selects their name from the page, they will see only their sessions from the list. Once they are finished creating their session, they are able to tap on the Change Stylist option at the top of the screen to return to the Stylist selection page.

Please note that the settings are per device and not per user. Changing settings like measurement units (ounces vs. grams) are device-specific. The stylist can always change their settings if they do not use the previous stylist's choice of measurement. Options such as Bluetooth scale pairing, automatic tare functionality, and sorting by brand are considered device-specific and cannot be saved per user.

Owners can exit Device Share mode and re-sign in to regain full device access.

Devices can remain in Device Share mode indefinitely unless a specific need arises to exit.
