Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: My scale isn't measuring accurately

A: There are a few tips to ensuring your scale is giving you the most accurate measurements:

  • First, make sure your scale is on a hard, flat surface (not wet!)

  • Change the batteries. *Note - given the nature of Bluetooth, make sure your scale is turned off when not in use to preserve battery life

  • Try recalibrating your scale. To do this, turn your scale on and press onto the scale with your hand, then release.

  • Restart your phone.

  • Delete and then re-add the SalonScale mobile app.

  • If you have multiple Bluetooth scales in your salon, try taking the batteries out of the extra scales.

  • Try turning the phone's Bluetooth off and back on.

  • Check your tare preferences. (read more about this next)

Q: What does auto-tare in my settings mean?

A:

  • Automatic Tare turned ON: The scale will display the total weight of all products for each session and the app will display the individual weight of each product.

  • Automatic Tare turned OFF: The app and scale will both show the individual weight of each product. Ensure you are pressing the “tare” button on the scale between each product poured.

Q: Do I need to purchase the SalonScale Bluetooth Scale to use the app?

A: No - the Bluetooth scale is $60.00 USD (or free with the purchase of an annual subscription), and is optional. If you prefer to use your own scale, you are able to manually enter or voice in measurements.

Q: How long does it take my scale to arrive?

A: If you are located in North America, your scale will arrive in approx. 3-7 business days
