You can save time or be creative by nicknameing any of your products in SalonScale. This must be done through the app and is only available for users with manager or owner permissions. Once a product is nicknamed, it also displays its new name for all the users in the account.
You can start by opening your app and tapping on Back Bar.
Then tap on My Hair Color:
Now, find the product you are looking for by selecting the brand it belongs to. In this example, we will be nicknaming a lightener from Goldwell.
Then, the line that the product is a part of:
Finally, the product you are wanting to nickname:
Now you can rename this product by tapping on the greyed-out title for the product:
Rename the product with its new nickname and tap on SAVE when finished.
You will now see the product with its nickname:
You can now search for your nicknamed product when adding products for your hair colour session.
You can always tap on the product icon near the title to double-check what your original product name was.
If you decide to revert the nickname back to its original title, go back to the step where you entered the new name, delete it, and then click on save. This will restore the product's original name.
It's important to remember that when you do a color order or add inventory stock, the nickname is not displayed. Instead, the original product name is shown.
