Creating a Session and sending it to Square

Now that you've linked Square to your account, here's a step-by-step guide on how to send your total to your Square POS software.

Looking at your day in your Square app or website, you can see that this stylist has four colour clients today.


Now, when you access our SalonScale app, you will notice a change when adding a session with the option to make it a Square session. Tap on the + Session button.

You will now have the option to choose between a Square Session or a Regular Session. Tap on the Square Session option.


Here is the list of clients for this stylist today, imported from Square. If you prefer, you can select all at once or one at a time.


We have selected all four clients. Now, in the Today View on the app's home page, you will see their open sessions already created for you.


Let's create a session for the client, Betty White. After entering the colour used, tap on SAVE or Add Bowl to Session.


We are then brought to the open ticket for Betty White. After reviewing their charges, tap on the "Send to Square" button.


You will receive a confirmation message to make sure that you are ready to send this total to Square. Click OK.


You will see the completed Square session on your SalonScale app's home page.


Looking at your Square POS for the client "Betty White," you can see that the notes section shows your SalonScale session total.

This example shows that their Color Treatment service was $120.00

We will now enter the SalonScale Product charge and add it to the line item for SalonScale Color.


After adding the SalonScale Color charge, your final invoice is now ready for payment.
