• Trial Period: During your 14-day trial, you can choose up to four brands from our database of over 350 color lines.

• Paid Subscription: As a paid subscriber, there are no limits on the number of color lines you can have active in your account. You can also customize your lines by removing any products you don’t want to show.

The pricing of the color lines during your trial is based on sample data. Once you become a paying customer, you can customize these prices to match your actual costs.

SalonScale offers multiple methods to measure your color usage. During your trial time, you are limited to using our manual entry mode, where you simply enter the product's weight using a digital scale you already own.

To have your team test our Trial Only SalonScale app with you and log sessions during the 14-day trial, we recommend using a shared device at your mixing station or sharing your login credentials with the team members you want to include in the trial. This will ensure that all the information is included in your paid subscription if you decide to proceed with a paid subscription plan.

When you are a paid subscriber, you get to choose from all three input methods:

1. Bluetooth Scale: Automatically enter your product’s weight using our Bluetooth scale.

2. Manual Entry:

• Select the keyboard symbol.

• Choose the product you wish to measure and enter the amount using your keyboard (e.g., 10 grams).

• Repeat for each product you wish to measure.

3. Voice Command: Use voice commands to enter your measurements. Say commands like "Ten grams, next ... twenty grams, next ... thirty grams, stop" 

Note: Our monthly and annual paid subscription plans include the Bluetooth scale at purchase.

Add-Ons track any additional supplies or services you use in your salon, such as foils, gloves, shampoo, or even coffee. You can also customize which products you want to add and create service bundles (e.g., Full Highlight Bundle: Foils, Shampoo, Conditioner).

• Cost Tracking: Accurately track all the smaller costs associated with each salon service.

•  Proper Charging: Ensure you cover all your costs and adjust for inflation.

• Profitability: Having a clear understanding of all your costs helps you maintain profitability and set achievable business goals.

• Accurate Pricing: Extensions are a costly service, and accurate tracking ensures you are charging appropriately.

The Waste Bucket feature allows you to:

• Track Waste: Re-weigh bowls at the end of each session to determine the amount of product wasted.

• Calculate Costs: See the exact dollar amount of wasted products and view this data in detailed reports.

• Optimize Usage: Use this information to reduce waste and improve cost efficiency. Refine your formulas for your client's next appointment to ensure you only mix what you need.

Reports

SalonScale saves each measurement and stores formulas and notes for each client, providing you with detailed reports on what has been used and what hasn’t. Use our reports to view usage by products, clients or stylists.

Inventory

Meet the first-ever usage-based inventory system! What does that mean? While you are already weighing products used at your appointments, SalonScale is tracking those exact products to determine when it’s time for you to restock.

Unlike other inventory management systems, SalonScale goes by the exact amount used, and our ordering feature easily tracks the ins and outs of your backbar.

You can easily see how much of each product you have in stock, your stock levels, your count, and the total dollar value of your back bar.
